As the UX Designer for the STC Family mobile application, my primary focus was to create a seamless experience that supports employees and their families in discovering exclusive offers and discounts in an intuitive and enjoyable way. I started by conducting user research sessions with both employees and family members to understand their needs, behaviors, and pain points when searching for benefits or deals. This helped uncover key insights around expectations, preferred categories, and location-based filtering — all of which shaped the app’s core user journeys.
I designed wireframes and interactive prototypes that prioritized simplicity, clarity, and ease of navigation. The challenge was to present a wide variety of offers from different categories — such as dining, shopping, wellness, and travel — without overwhelming the user. I introduced smart filters, personalized recommendations, and a geo-location feature to surface nearby deals. Every design decision was made with accessibility, scalability, and STC's brand identity in mind, ensuring a consistent and delightful experience across all touchpoints.
Through usability testing and continuous iteration, we refined the experience to ensure it not only looked good but also delivered real value. The app empowered users to make quick, informed decisions and stay updated with the latest offers through intuitive notifications and clean categorization.
The end result was a user-centric app that strengthened employee satisfaction, encouraged app engagement, and reinforced STC's commitment to its people — all while achieving stunning results in adoption and positive feedback from employees and their families alike.
